Ram Charan Teja makes his foray with Zanjeer into Bollywood. This movie looks the most apt for him, and we also think that he will win much acclaim for his work. No, we are not saying that he is that awesome but we do say that he is convincing. Don’t compare this movie with the old and you will find this film a good watch.
Priyank Chopra, we think, is over the top in terms of her acting in this movie (she may just be the pretty doll). The background score by Amar Mohile are good and keeps you interested in the action. The songs by Anand Raj Anand, Meet Bros Anjjan, Chirantan Bhatt should make the movie a good album. Kavita Kaushik as we hear has done an item number too.
The movie has strong actors like Prakash Raj and Atul Kulkarni, who bring the ‘good-watch’ tag to the movie. Mahie Gill is also in the movie playing the famous role of ‘Mona Darling’ (she actually does what she is best at, seduction!). Sanjay Dutt plays the role of Pathan Sher Khan in his own style which most of us like.
The story doesn’t seem the same but it is similar (adapted tot he current scenarios of the economy and corruption) to the original Zanjeer. Salim-Javed were an epic pair and this movie proved then and may prove it again in the 21st century cinema presentation.
The movie in Telugu is called Toofan with the same star cast except for Srihari who portrays Pathan Sher Khan and Tanikella Bharani portrays Atul Kulkarnis’ journalist role.
