Post the hype of the movie we watched the movie to know if we were right when we reviewed the movie trailer. The story is definitely dark and it is predictable. Predictable – there are scenes which we felt were unnecessarily detailed. The magic of O Henry’s story is in saying in all detail you can and yet keep the audiences wondering… then deliver the end like sweet revenge. The movie lacked poetry that could have made this movie an absolute die-for-watch. It just falls short!

The actors had a lot of scope to improvise and make their individual presentations leave a mark after the movie. Few side actors were a waste of talent in the movie, meaning they were not as well directed to use their potential to the fullest to benefit the movie. The lead actors, Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh have excelled from the previous attempts at acting. They show promise but not enough to have directors chasing them.

There is a scene though that stole our hearts, when (at the end) Varun puts Pakhi to sleep and pecks on her forehead… so romantic! A lot of movie goers had complaints that the couple comes close but never has a kiss… We say its a 50’s movie where kissing was not love but the wait and undying love was “the thing”

Leaving you all, to decide if this movie is a masterpiece or not, with a few things we heard from other’s:

The movie is so slow, Boring, Keepsakes movie, Pakao (boring), Masterpiece, I will was to watch the next show too. There is nothing so great about the movie, but the story is good!

Let us know what you thought about it, does our trailer and movie review make sense to you?
